As spring approaches, Spirit Alive! gears up for outdoor outreach activities! On June 20th, from 10 am to 6 pm, Spirit Alive! is scheduled to host a resource booth at Kenosha’s Juneteenth event, where we will offer fun and educational activities for kids with our spinner/prize game, share information about Spirit Alive!, and promote support for our brothers and sisters of color.

The Spirit Alive Leadership Team (SALT) invites everyone to join this event, whether you help at the booth or attend to support.

About Juneteenth
Source: Juneteenth.com

"On June 19, 1865, Union Major General Gordon Granger arrived in Galveston, Texas to announce General Order No. 3, declaring that all enslaved people in Texas were free—more than two years after President Abraham Lincoln’s Emancipation Proclamation had officially ended slavery in Confederate states. This day, now known as Juneteenth, has become a profound commemoration of freedom, resilience, and the ongoing journey toward justice."
