Bible Study
We are excited to read the bible from start to finish, or at least read from every book! Friendly discussion and different view points are how we become closer to God. Whether you have read the bible from cover to cover, or have never read a verse, all are welcome. This group will meet every other Tuesday from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Villa Ciera Apartment Community Room located at 1940 27th Avenue in Kenosha. This group does not meet during the summer. For questions, please contact Jen Damrow by clicking here.
CARE Team
Let's build a team of congregants who are intent on intersecting, contacting, or touching those who need to be reminded of Gods care, love and hope in times of stress, pain, joy and grief. For additional information, please contact Margie Breckenfeld by clicking here.
Couch to 5K
Join other Spirit Alive! members for a summer long commitment to run-walk your way to a FREE 5K put on by the Kenosha Running Club in September. Emphasis will be on flexible scheduling, partnering up, and building your fitness long and slow while learning about running, form, hydration, and muscle recovery. This group is led by Dave Jordan.
Fab 50 Fellowship
Are you 50 or better? Do you like to eat out for dinner? Do you like to make new friends? If so, this may be the group for you! The Fab 50 Fellowship group meets every 3rd Thursday of the month at 6 p.m. at various restaurants. A couple of weeks prior, an email will be sent to you with details. Just RSVP, show up, and enjoy! For details, please contact the Dan Skinner by clicking here.

Food on the Fourth
Spirit Alive! has been blessed with the partnership with Grace Welcome Center. We've cooked tons of breakfast potatoes, flipped many pancakes, and scrambled eggs. We've grown fresh produce at the Garden Project to build relationships and provide healthy food. Many of you have given of your time, your sweat, and your money to see this vital Kenosha ministry grow. We’ve recently launched a new program called FOOD ON THE FOURTH, a monthly food drive to benefit Grace. Every third Sunday, we'll put out reusable bags and a list items Grace needs to supply their pantry. Grab a bag after worship and get a few items on the list during your weekly shopping. Bring back your bag with items to donate on the fourth Sunday of each month so we can bless it and send it out! Can't be in worship to pick up a bag? No problem, as any bag will work just fine. Join us in filling hearts and bodies with good food and the hope of Christ! Food on the Fourth collection dates follow: April 23rd, May 28th, June 25th, July 23rd, August 27th, September 24th, October 22nd, November 26th, December 24th.
Hiking Group
The hiking group is not your traditional small group. It is designed to have you flow in and out depending on your schedule. There are new topics each week, so if you were not able to attend previously, you have not “fallen behind.” There is no preparation needed. Hikes occur at a rotating schedule of locations. Terrain varies from smooth, paved and fairly level to uneven and slightly hilly. This group meets during the summer and early fall. The Hiking Group will resume in summer of 2023.
The Garden Project
The Garden Project runs from May through October. At the beginning of the season, there is a need for garden clean up and planting. During the growing season, we need assistance with watering, weeding, and harvesting. At the end of the season, we have a final clean up. For details, contact Margie Breckenfeld by clicking here.
Grace Welcome Center Breakfasts
Grace Welcome Center Breakfasts: Spirit Alive! has committed to serving breakfast the fourth Thursday of each month. Volunteers arrive at 7 a.m. to prepare breakfast, assist in packaging meals, and are done by 9 a.m. There is no need to register to volunter, simply show up! Grace Welcome Center is located at 2006 - 60th Street in Kenosha.
Media Team
Put media together for Sunday worship! Training will be provided. We work together to share new skills to enhance Spirit Alive’s worship experience. Commit to a team rotation of 1 to 4 hours in one sitting or spread throughout your week when it is your turn. Dave Jordan is the leader for this group.
Messy Spirituality Book Club
Messy Spirituality is a book club that meets monthly. We meet on the second Thursday of each month at 1 p.m. at Spirit Alive! Church. Contact Heidi Steinbrenner for more details by clicking here.
Wine and Women
This group will meet monthly from 7 to 8 p.m. for encouraging and uplifting conversation and a glass of wine, water or soda. We will speak life into each other as we move through our weeks with all of the millions of things we have to do that can overwhelm us as women. Come to be rejuvenated as we reflect on the greatness of God and feel supported by one another during the week. Contact the office for locations.
Hungry for something else?
We are pleased to offer various small groups at Spirit Alive! If you are interested in starting a new small group or ministry team, please contact Pastor Kevin who will be glad to assist you. Contact the office at admin@spiritalivechurch.com for details on any of the above groups.
